Old water is likely the culprit, and check for pests

Over time nutrient salts, bacteria and pH imbalance build up and affect everything in the system at once. Reset the system, and check for pests while you are in there.

Steps to resolve

  1. Use your Cleaning Kit to fully drain and clean the tank
  2. Refill with fresh water and test your pH before adding nutrients, aim for 5.5 to 6.5
  3. Add the correct nutrient dose for your water volume
  4. Confirm the pump is running and your timer is set correctly for your environment
  5. Look to see if your plants have any bugs, check the undersides of leaves and the grow medium
