Bunching onions produces large, hollow stalks that can be about 1/2 inch in diameter at their largest. Add them to omelets, stir-frys, dips, soups, salads either raw or cooked! There isn't much these onions can't do.
This bunching type is grown mostly for its green stalk - prune yellow skins by pulling up and away from plant. The green stalks can grow to quarter-sized diameter, but they can be harvested any time by cutting individual stalks 1-2"" from base of plant (the plants will re-grow). Grow and harvest stalks until root base is too large for port and begins to dig into sides.
