Here's a step-by-step guide to adding plant food and caring for your Counterstand:
1. Starting Fresh:
- Add Water: Fill the Counterstand with purified water up to ½ inch below the "FILL LINE" or to the "MAX FILL" depending on your model.
- Add Plant Food: Add 4 half-full droppers of plant food and stir gently to mix.
- Plant Your Seedling: Insert the water wick and your new seedling into the glass cup. Make sure the wick is wedged between the seedling and the cup. Make sure the bottom of the wick is reaching all the way to the bottom of the water. Place the cup into the Counterstand. Just be sure the water level always stays below the bottom of the cup so the plant isn't sitting directly in water.
2. Refilling:
- When the water level drops to about 1 inch from the bottom add approximately 2 half-full droppers of plant food.
- Refill with purified water up to the “REFILL LINE.”
3. Cleaning:
- Every 5–6 weeks and after a full harvest, pour out the water and rinse, refill it with fresh water and add plant food as suggested in the step 1. The Counterstand is dishwasher safe or can be cleaned by hand.
