The cleaning kit is ideal to have on hand during resets! See below for reset instructions for your:
- Disassemble your Farmstand and dump out the old water (refer to the video for further instructions). Use the brush provided to remove any roots, grow medium, or plant bits from the tank and levels.
- Wipe away any remaining debris with the microfiber towel. For hard-to-remove residues, follow the next steps for a deeper clean.
- Unplug your pump and place it back in the tank. Fill the tank about ⅓ with warm water, ensuring the water level is above the pump. Mix in 3 tablespoons of Citric Acid Cleaning Solution. Stir with the pipe and drop in your grow cups and sleeves.
- Reassemble the Farmstand, including the pipe, levels, cups, diffuser, and lid. Plug in the pump and run it for 2-3 hours. Longer runs help with buildup and deeper cleaning.
- Once the cycle is done, unplug the pump and disassemble the Farmstand again. You can dump the water or pump it out with your hose. To pump it out, reattach the hose, turn the pump on, and remove the dirty water. Take out the grow cups and sleeves, then empty the remaining water.
- Wipe the inside of the tank with the microfiber towel. For tough stains, scrub with the cleaning brush. For stubborn spots, mix ½ tablespoon of Citric Acid Cleaning Solution with 8-10 oz of water in a spray bottle or cup. Apply it, let it sit for 5 minutes, and scrub again.
- Rinse if desired. Any leftover citric acid solution won’t harm your plants. Reassemble your Farmstand, fill with fresh water and nutrients, and replant your seedlings. Refer to our setup videos for more guidance.
