How much space does it take up?
Each Counterstand measures 4.25" D × 6.5" H, perfect for kitchens, counters, or shelves. When paired with the Glow Lamp, three Counterstands together measure 8" D × 14" H.
How does it work?
The Counterstand uses a simple hydroponic method to grow plants twice as fast as soil gardening. Each plant utilizes an organic cotton waterwick that draws up nutrient-rich water from below. Just add water and provided plant food weekly, place it in a sunny spot (6+ hrs of direct sunlight) or under the Glow Lamp, and enjoy fresh harvests from your counter.
How do I know if I need the lamp?
The Glow Lamp provides full-spectrum light that mimics natural sunlight and a built-in timer with 16-hour on, 8-hour off cycle—so it runs automatically. If your plants are in a sunny spot indoors that receives 6+ hours of direct sunlight, the lamp isn’t necessary.
How much maintenance is required?
Minimal! Just check the water level weekly and refill once the water drops below the logo (about 1” from the bottom). Refill with water and 3 drops of plant food— no daily misting or guessing required.
What starter seedlings are included? Can I choose them?
Your set includes 3 seedling credits to redeem for mixes like Bestsellers or Herb Mix—or you can choose your own later. Living seedlings ship FedEx 2-Day for immediate planting. Pick from 20+ herbs, lettuces, and edible flowers at lettucegrow.com/seedlings. All arrive pre-grown for a quick start—no germination needed.
How long do plants last?
Start harvesting in about 2.5 weeks, trimming up to ⅓ of the plant at a time so it keeps regrowing for months. After about 3 months, refresh your setup with a Counterstand Refill Kit (3 new seedlings, 2 bottles of Plant Food, 3 waterwicks).
Is setup easy?
Yes. Simply add filtered water (to the Refill’ or Max Fill line) and 3 drops of plant food, insert your seedling with the waterwick and place it in the Counterstand. If you’re using the Glow Lamp, just set the built-in timer to 16h. No tools or complicated setup required.
