Old water is likely the culprit

Over time nutrient salts, bacteria and pH imbalance build up and affect everything in the system at once. A full reset will usually turn things around quickly.

Steps to resolve

  1. Use your Cleaning Kit to fully drain and clean the tank
  2. Refill with fresh water and test your pH before adding nutrients, aim for 5.5 to 6.5
  3. Add the correct nutrient dose for your water volume
  4. Confirm the pump is running and your timer is set correctly for your environment
