    Get the mat - it helps!

    I waited months to get the mat, but you're dealing with a big tank of water that flows intermittently, so you're gonna have some spills. Get the mat; it's worth it!

    Absolute insurance

    Initially, I didn’t think I would need this but bought it out of an abundance of caution since we have hardwood floors. So glad that I did β€” I had an oopsie on the first reservoir refill and the mat caught every drop. If you’re on the fence, I’d recommend just grabbing it.
