I received a Nook Farnstand for Christmas. I was a little skeptical at first, I wasn't really looking to start a hydroponic system. But I can't say enough about how much I love it.

I highly recommend also buying the rolling dolly. It makes it much easier to move and manage. It was very bright. I live in a condo and expected to put it in a corner in our living room but it really was too bright. So it now lives in a rarely used guest bathroom- which has been good because clean up is easy when refilling the tank and doing other maintenance. Assembly was much easier than I expected. Cleaning the system was also easier than expected.

So far I've only used Lettuce Grow seedlings- I've had pretty good results. I think I've had maybe a total of three seedlings that were problematic and had to be removed- LG was very responsive when I reached out and gave me credits for those. It too some trial and error to get my lettuce on a rolling schedule so I always have enough to harvest (I started planting five new seedlings, waiting two weeks, then doing five more, and so on). If you trim and maintain the roots, I think the herbs can last 4-6 months- much longer than the instructions. My faves have been the Pomegrante Crunch Romaine, Butter Lettuce, and the Rossa
