Shanghai bok choy is a sweet and crunchy variety, excellent both raw or steamed.

Shanghai bok choy is a densley packed baby bok choy with wide, light green stems and mild flavor. This variety is great for stif-fry's and stews, as it picks up the flavors of the dish it is cooked in. It is enjoyed for its tenderness and mild flavor.

Harvesting tips

This Bok Choy grows quickly since it is a smaller variety. Plant anywhere on your Farmstand but watch out for caterpillars and bolting! When the bok choy grows to 5 to 6 inches tall, harvest the entire plant, including the growing medium.

    Nice!

Fresh bok choy is good to have. A little slow growing, but eventually forms small heads.

Growing well, but watch for caterpillars

If growing outdoors, must check for baby caterpillars that can damage the crop!
