Harvesting tips

Doesn't need stringing. Diminished strings do not require removal before eating. Peas will climb when given the opportunity. Be aware they may grab onto other neighboring plants in order to climb the farmstand. Make sure the plant isn't impeding on other plant growth. Harvest peas when they are tender with immature seeds. If you prefer more developed seeds allow for more time.

    So good, so convenient

My kids love these! Unfortunately, so does my labradoodle. He visits the plants every morning to chew off the new leaves.

    Trellis

These are super tasty and I love when they are in season. I use a trellis to help support the plant. I’ve lost a few plants without support.

Took a while to get full

But when it gets big it takes over. I put a big pot with a tomato cage next to the farm stand so the peas have something to climb up on. Looking great!
