Thai Basil

$2.99

Thai Basil

$2.99
Sweet licorice flavor, and beautiful purple blossoms for garnishes.

Thai basil leaves are narrow and slightly serrated, with a sweet and spicy, anise or clove flavor. Excellent for use in Thai and Viatnamese dishes such as Pho. The plant stays fairly compact and should be trimmed and cut to encourage growth.
Will quickly produce deep purple, wonderfully fragrant flowers that attract pollinators and are as useful as foliage.

Harvesting tips

Don’t be afraid of basil flowers! This type of basil is very quick to flower but unlike its cousins it does not lose leaves or flavor and the vivid flowers find use in cooking and garnish. When harvesting, make sure to leave around 4" of stalk from base where new leaves and branches can grow.
