How does the Nook work?
The Nook’s built-in, full-spectrum LED lights mimic natural sunlight, so you can grow indoors year-round—no matter your space or climate. The app automated watering and lighting system takes care of the rest. Just plug it in, add water and nutrients, test your pH, pop in your seedlings, and you’re good to grow. Just don’t put it outdoors— moisture will damage the LED lights and void the included 3 year warranty.
How much maintenance is required?
Minimal! The Nook handles the watering, lighting, and feeding automatically. You just plug it in using our Bluetooth Smart Timer, check in through the free Lettuce Grow app, and enjoy watching your plants thrive. Every few months, give it a simple rinse and reset—it’s that easy.
How much can it grow, and how long do plants last?
The Nook grows 20 plants simultaneously—herbs, leafy greens, even small veggies. Start harvesting in about 2.5 weeks, trimming up to ⅓ of the plant at a time so it keeps regrowing for months. After about 3 months, refresh your setup with a new round of plants.
What starter seedlings are included? Can I choose them?
Our non-GMO, living seedlings are seasonally curated and carefully tested by our horticulture team to ensure optimal growth, flavor and yield. There’s always something fresh to choose from. You'll be able to select your 20 included seedlings after checkout. Varieties include: Lettuce, Blue Kale, Scarlett Kale, Red Chard, Yellow Chard, Baresse Chard, Nicola Basil, Lemon Balm, Sorrel, and Oregano.
How much electricity does it use?
The built-in LED system is energy-efficient, using less power than a standard household lightbulb, approximately £0.14/ day. You can run it daily without worrying about your electric bill.
